Strategic Market Access Director for European Healthcare

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Strategic Market Access Director to join our team in Region NWE. This role will be based in the UK and will cover markets across the region, including the UK, France, Spain, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Belgium, Finland, Austria, Portugal, and Ireland.
Job Description
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 7 years' experience in pharmaceutical market access from a regional, affiliate, or global role. They will have previous experience with development and execution of pricing and reimbursement submissions and negotiations to/with payers and HTA bodies.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing market access strategies, HTA submission plans, and payer value stories. You will also lead region NWE handling of price approval processes and co-develop price business cases with affiliate colleagues.
You will have opportunities to shape overall engagement and payer strategies as well as dive into the details of actual payer engagements, price negotiations, and HTA submissions. Additionally, you will stay in close contact with affiliate market access colleagues and provide strategic sparring and support them in the implementation of market access activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement market access strategies, HTA submission plans, and payer value stories
- Lead region NWE handling of price approval processes (incl. PBC handling, reference pricing, parallel trade)
- Co-develop price business cases with affiliate colleagues and present recommendations for internal approval processes (NWE, IO, global)
- Stay in close contact with affiliate market access colleagues and provide strategic sparring and support them in the implementation of market access activities
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 7 years' experience in pharmaceutical market access from a regional, affiliate, or global role
- Previous experience with development and execution of pricing and reimbursement submissions and negotiations to/with payers and HTA bodies
- Ability to work collaboratively on project execution with a variety of internal and external stakeholders across different geographies
- Demonstrated ability to translate payer insights and clinical and economic evidence into payer value arguments, engagement strategy, and payer tactics
- Strong project management skills
- Fluent in written and spoken English on a professional level
- Master's degree in relevant field, e.g. health economics, public health, science, or pharmacy
Salary
We offer a competitive salary package ranging from £80,000 to £120,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits.
