Key Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Public Affairs and Corporate Communications Manager to lead our corporate reputation in Denmark. This is a unique opportunity to define, lead, and execute our public affairs and corporate communications strategy, engaging with stakeholders, including media and policy stakeholders, to shape the way Just Eat is perceived.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for setting up and further professionalizing the Public Affairs and Corporate Communications function. Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring relevant media coverage and regulatory, policy, and political developments, assessing their impact and delivering analyses to key internal stakeholders;
  • Promoting and representing Just Eat's vision and values towards a broad range of stakeholders, identifying key media and policy issues, listening carefully to others' views and opinions, and distilling and sharing the company's perspective on those issues;
  • Designing and drafting Public Affairs and Corporate Communications strategy in close collaboration with Danish business priorities and in alignment with our global goals;
  • Drafting position papers and press releases on core issues, working across functions to ensure alignment between business objectives and your Corporate Communications and Public Affairs strategy;
  • Facilitating high-level meetings between Just Eat Denmark's executives and key stakeholders, including journalists, senior government officials, regulators, industry associations, and alliance partners, to promote and advocate the company's commitment to public policies;
  • Representing JET externally in publications, events, and policymaker settings.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications, Political Science, or Law, or equivalent practical experience;
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience working in public affairs and/or corporate communications within an in-house corporate policy or communication function, consultancy firm, interest group/trade association, or government;
  • Experience working independently on public affairs and/or corporate communication tasks, with a network in both the Danish political and institutional sphere and media landscape;
  • A self-starter and team player with a hands-on and can-do attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to adapt quickly and in a rapidly changing environment;
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with a high attention to detail, and drive projects to successful completion;
  • Strong language skills and the ability to write and translate complex issues into a language suitable for either technical or non-technical audiences, and to communicate impactfully in person and writing;
  • Full proficiency in Danish and English.
