Research Assistant in Irish Literature and Classical Culture Position

Aarhus Universitet is seeking a Research Assistant to contribute to the population of a database of Classical Allusions in Irish Literature. This exciting opportunity is part of the research project Classical Influences and Irish Culture (CLIC), funded by the European Research Council.
Job DescriptionThe successful applicant will work under the auspices of the Centre for Irish Studies at Aarhus Universitet, continuing the development of the database. Key responsibilities include:
- Continuing the population of the database of Classical Allusions in Irish Literature
- Providing close reading of Irish literature texts from various historical periods and languages
We are looking for candidates with an academic degree at master's level or higher in a subject relevant to Irish literature and/or classical culture. Strong applicants without a PhD are also encouraged to apply. Experience with digital projects is not required but may be considered an advantage.
RequirementsTo be eligible, you must have:
- An academic degree at master's level or higher in a relevant field
- A native or near-native level of English language proficiency
