The Department of Drug Design and Pharmacology at Københavns Universitet seeks an expert in G protein-coupled receptor research to join their team as an assistant professor. In this role, you will contribute to the development of databases and software tools for drug design and head the main database for the GPCR field, GPCRdb.

About the Position

The successful candidate will start on April 18, 2025, and end on December 31, 2028, with an average weekly working hours of 37 hours per week. You will collaborate with a team of skilled programmers and engage with users to collect feedback from medicinal chemists, pharmacologists, and structural biologists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop online data and tool resources for the global research community
  • Collaborate with users to collect feedback and improve resources
  • Contribute to the development of databases and software tools for drug design
Requirements
  • PhD related to bioinformatics, programming, or software/database development
  • Excellent programming skills in Python, including experience with dataset analysis and parsing
  • Proficient communication skills, both written and spoken
Benefits

This is a fixed-term position offering a competitive salary and benefits package, including a monthly salary starting at approximately 5,160 EUR (April 2024 level). Depending on qualifications, a supplement may be negotiated.
