Professor or Assistant Professor in Sustainable Operations Management

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a Professor or Assistant Professor in Sustainable Operations Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving research and teaching in this critical area, focusing on sustainable development and innovative solutions for manufacturing.

The position involves conducting cutting-edge research, collaborating with industry partners, and contributing to the academic agenda. You will have the opportunity to define your research ideas, collaborate on proposals, and lead projects globally. As a professor, you will supervise PhD students, while as an assistant professor, you will co-supervise them.

You will teach courses in engineering education and continuing education, applying both qualitative and quantitative methods. The ability to teach and communicate complex concepts effectively is essential. DTU employs two working languages: Danish and English, and we expect you to be fluent in at least one language, with the goal of mastering both over time.

To succeed in this role, you must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent). If applying for the associate professor position, you should also have academic qualifications equivalent to those obtained by holding an assistant professorship, including documented didactic/pedagogic training.

Your assessment will be based on your experience and quality of teaching, research experience, vision, and potential, international impact, innovativeness, leadership, communication, collaboration, and interdisciplinary skills, and your ability to collaborate with colleagues and partners within and outside the university.

This is a full-time position beginning January 1, 2025, or shortly thereafter. The assistant professor position is part of DTU's Tenure Track program.
