About the Role

As a seasoned professional in Early Childhood Development and humanitarian work, we seek an exceptional individual to join our team at BØRNEfonden. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing large-scale projects in Uganda, focusing on Early Childhood Care and Education, while also developing and managing our ECD and humanitarian/nexus portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and project management, ensuring program success and representation towards donors and stakeholders.
  • Ensure programs meet their work plans and budgets, collaborating closely with Country office staff and project teams.
  • Work with Grants Controllers to ensure donor compliance and reporting requirements are met.
  • Coordinate with MERL, Advocacy, and Technical colleagues to deliver high-quality results and timely activities.
  • Lead project closure and finalize narrative and financial reports for donors.
Technical Profile
  • In collaboration with global and national colleagues, develop and operationalize PlanBørnfonden's ECD vision, focusing on key technical areas aligned with global, national, and funding priorities.
  • Provide technical guidance on ECD, early learning in emergencies, climate, parenting, food security, and nutrition.
  • Support the development of Plan International's parenting program across the federation.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience managing and coordinating ECD and humanitarian projects.
  • A relevant Master's Degree in International Development, ECD, health, or humanitarian studies.
  • Experience working in humanitarian and development settings, including living abroad.
  • Experience providing technical support in ECD and humanitarian contexts.
  • Proficiency in logical framework approach (LFA) frameworks, needs assessments, proposal writing, budgeting, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to travel for work-related activities.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of French is desirable.
