We are seeking a highly motivated and talented PhD researcher to join our team at the Department of Political Science and Public Management at the University of Southern Denmark. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a PhD project in public administration, focusing on topics such as public management, leadership, organization, governance paradigms, public employees, civil servants, public finances, citizen-state interactions, AI, local and central government, and local elections.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct original research in public administration, contributing to the development of new knowledge and understanding in the field.
- Develop and implement a PhD project proposal, in collaboration with the research group and departmental staff.
- Participate in the Public Administration Research Group at the Department of Political Science and Public Management, contributing to the group's research activities and publications.
- Engage in teaching and dissemination activities, as part of the PhD programme.
- Collaborate with colleagues and staff at the University of Southern Denmark, fostering a stimulating and inspiring environment for academic excellence and departmental development.
The PhD programme in Political Science at the University of Southern Denmark offers a 5+3 or 4+4 programme structure, spanning over three or four years, respectively. The successful candidate will be enrolled in the PhD programme and will have the opportunity to participate in course work, conference participation, and teaching. One semester will be spent at another research institution, often abroad. The scholarship carries a monthly salary, including pension, office facilities, and financial support for conference travels and research visits abroad.
