Pharmaceutical Data Scientist for Drug Development

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmaceutical Data Scientist to join our team at the Center for Pharmaceutical Data Science Education. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting innovative research and developing research-based teaching in the field of computational drug development.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, encompassing exploratory data analysis and machine learning, combined with application/experimental expertise in physical chemistry. Additionally, they will possess good communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and strong ambitions to foster creative teaching- and working environments that prioritize diversity, equality, and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct innovative research in the field of computational drug development, with a particular focus on advancing and applying AI- and data science methodologies in drug development and manufacturing.
- Develop and conduct research-based teaching, including associated examination, to pharmaceutical students.
- Participate in the development and implementation of digital core curricula (e.g., data analysis and software) in the educational programs of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
The successful candidate will have:
- A Ph.D. degree in a relevant field such as data science, computer science, or a related field.
- Strong experience in data science, including exploratory data analysis and machine learning.
- Application/experimental expertise in physical chemistry.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- A strong ambition to foster creative teaching- and working environments that prioritize diversity, equality, and inclusion.
The salary for this position is estimated to be around DKK 60,000 - 80,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
Working ConditionsThe position is a permanent position, and the average working hours are 37 hours per week. The position is anchored at Department of Pharmacy, University of Copenhagen, which is one of the seven departments participating in the center initiative.
LocationThe Center is located at Nørre Campus in the Copenhagen district Østerbro, Denmark.
