">Job Description:
">We are seeking a highly skilled researcher to join our team and contribute to the development of optomechanical crystals (OMCs) for quantum memory applications. The successful candidate will work closely with our international and interdisciplinary team to design, fabricate, and test OMCs, and implement a quantum memory for light in such devices held at low temperatures.
">Key Responsibilities:

- Design, fabricate, and characterize OMCs using finite-element modeling, fiber optics, and other relevant techniques">
- Implement a quantum memory for light in OMCs held at low temperatures">
- Collaborate with the research team to develop new protocols and platforms for mechanical quantum memories">
- Conduct experiments and data analysis to advance the field of quantum optomechanics">
- Teaching duties as part of the position">
Required Skills and Qualifications:
">To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in physics or engineering, with experience in one or more of the following areas: finite-element modeling, fiber optics, quantum optical measurement techniques, and sub-Kelvin cryogenics. A curious mind-set with a strong interest in the physics and engineering of mechanical quantum systems is essential.
