Job Description

At DTU Chemical Engineering, we are seeking a highly competent and ambitious postdoctoral researcher to contribute to strengthening our department's competences within gas fermentation technology.

Responsibilities
  • Perform biological conversion of CO2 to acetic acid in Trickle Bed Reactors at lab- and pilot-scale.
  • Conduct kinetic characterisation of the microbial groups involved in CO2 fermentation to acetic acid.
  • Collaborate with nearby colleagues and academic partners in Denmark and abroad.
  • Communicate project results to both academic and industrial partners.
  • Co-supervise BEng, BSc, and MSc students.
Qualifications
  • Experience in handling and culturing anaerobic microbial cultures.
  • Knowledge of bioreactor operation in batch and/or continuous mode with suspended and/or attached growth (biofilm).
  • Strong background in gas fermentation.
