Job Title: Customs Broker Agent

Maersk is transforming into the global integrator of container logistics, changing the face of the logistics industry by becoming the first truly integrated service provider across shipping-owning ocean services, airfreight, landside, lead logistics, and contract logistics.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customs Broker Agent to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting customs export processes, ensuring effective operational support, and delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients, ensuring their needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Offer solutions to challenges and resolve issues that are critical to improving performance and profitability for both our company and the customer on a day-to-day basis.
  • Continuously follow up on all customs clearance and compliance processes to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Participate in customer visits to promote Customs products when required.
  • Communicate and liaise with relevant stakeholders, including Customs Authorities, Maersk offices, and the customer's organization, to build strong relationships and ensure mutual benefit.
Requirements:
  • Degree in International Trade or a related field (preferable).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft systems.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Customs agent, with a strong understanding of export processes in various modes (ocean, air, truck, etc.) and customs locations.
  • Strong knowledge of customs procedures, forwarding, and shipping.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to ensure high-level communication with key stakeholders and internal team members.
  • Collaboration skills and the ability to multi-task at a high level.
  • Strong process-oriented approach to work, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Resilient team player who is goal-oriented and demonstrates a high level of commitment, with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills in English (B2 or higher is mandatory).
