The University of Copenhagen is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to contribute to the project Circular Supply Chains – identifying and allocating legal risks (CirCus). The successful candidate will be part of a collaborative research environment at the Faculty of Law, focusing on the legal implications of circular economy and sustainability.

As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will work under the supervision of professor Ole Hansen, professor Vibe Ulfbeck, and associate professor Marta Andhov. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with leading senior academics involved in the project and contribute to ambitious and carefully planned research, outreach, impact, and dissemination activities.

The position includes research and teaching (375 hours per year) and some administrative responsibilities. You will benefit from a wide-ranging collaborative research environment, networking opportunities, and external activities with possibilities for traveling to other research partner organizations.

We are seeking highly motivated candidates with a strong academic record holding PhD or equivalent degree in law. All applicants are expected to be able to use English as the working language (written and spoken). Candidates with pending PhD degrees will be considered.

The preferred candidates will most likely have some subject knowledge of private law (e.g., contract law, tort law, arbitration)/public procurement law/sustainability/circular economy.

The estimated salary for this position is approximately $50,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition to the salary, the researchers will receive yearly DKK 25,000 research allowance that can be utilized for work-related expenses such as books, conference fees, research stays, etc.

The position is available from September 2023 for the duration of two years. We encourage all interested parties to apply, regardless of personal background.
