Thin Film Engineer for Electromechanical Applications

DTU Energy is seeking a thin film engineer to join our team in developing new electromechanical materials for micro- and nano-electromechanical systems (MEMS and NEMS).

The project focuses on creating advanced materials for high-frequency applications, using state-of-the-art physical vapor deposition methods (PLD and Sputtering) and laser interferometry.

Prof. Vincenzo Esposito leads the project, and the team has access to excellent competencies and advanced investigation tools for functional materials.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Designing a motorized system for thin film deposition.
  • Fabricating ceramic targets using solid-state reactions and chemical methods.
  • Assembling materials using PLD and RFMS.
  • Characterizing nanostructures using XRD and electron microscopy.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in materials science and experience with thin film engineering.
