About the Job

We are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager to join our team in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a large Early Childhood Care and Education project in Uganda, as well as developing and managing our ECD and humanitarian/nexus portfolio and profile.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in project management, with experience in the humanitarian and development sector.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing overall leadership and project management, including representation towards donors and communities of practice.
  • Ensuring the programme is on track to meet its work plans and budgets, working closely with the Project Director in Country office as well as broader project staff.
  • Working with assigned Grants Controllers to ensure compliance with donor requirements and reporting in relation to budget.
  • Coordinating with assigned MERL, Advocacy, and Technical colleagues to ensure resources are brought in at the right time and ensure timely delivery of activities and tasks.
  • Ensuring project closure and leading and coordinating high-quality final narrative and financial reporting to donors, working closely with Grants, MERL, and Advocacy staff.
  • Sharing learning from the programme across BØRNEfonden, as well as the broader Plan International federation and externally.
