Associate Professor in Power System Protection and Microgrid Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Associate Professor in Power System Protection with a strong emphasis on Microgrids to join our team at the University of Southern Denmark. As a leading institution in the field of industrial electronics, we are committed to advancing knowledge and innovation in power systems and microgrids.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research and development in power system protection and microgrid systems, with a focus on advanced fault location and detection techniques, signal processing, and machine learning applications.
- Develop and implement novel applications of microgrid systems, such as shipboard and aircraft systems, using real-time and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) simulation platforms.
- Collaborate with industry partners to create successful collaborations and attract external funding for research projects.
- Teach and supervise students in the field of power systems and microgrids, and contribute to the development of curriculum and research programs.
- PhD in Electrical Engineering with a strong background in power systems and microgrids.
- Experience in industrial collaboration and research and development in power systems and microgrids.
- Extensive research and publication track record, with a focus on power system protection and microgrid systems.
- Relevant teaching experience and a track record of attracting external funding for research projects.
