Job Description

As Chief Compliance and Security Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the airfreight sites of Maersk remain legally compliant with all applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Stay up-to-date with legislative changes and ensure that our airfreight sites are aware of and comply with these changes.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on all aspects of security and business continuity as required.
  • Investigate and report any incidents of a security nature and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive security training programs to meet all requirements.
  • Lead the process of appointing and managing security providers to ensure they are fit for purpose.
  • Maintain accurate security risk assessments for all sites.
  • Advise Maersk on current legislation and best practices in the industry.
  • Manage and maintain a comprehensive security risk register.
  • Lead on addressing any serious security issues that may arise.
  • Support the crisis management team and develop a business continuity program.
  • Collaborate with sales colleagues to identify opportunities for customer satisfaction.
Person Specification:
  • Familiarity with in-country security-related legislative requirements.
  • Experience in creating, reviewing, and implementing security documentation, including risk assessments and risk registers.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with various teams to achieve set targets or goals.
  • Experience in conducting and facilitating security audits related to compliance and procedural activities.
  • Able to manage interactions with multiple departments and third-party contractors.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Packages.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and time management.
  • Excellent presentation and writing skills.
  • Able to write effective reports.

Maersk offers a competitive salary, with an estimated range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, based on location and experience. In addition to a salary, we also offer:
