In Norlys' digital organization, the Backend & API team is the absolute focal point. The team builds and maintains the critical infrastructure that connects complex core business within energy and telecommunications with innovative, customer-facing frontend solutions.

As the leader of this team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that we have a secure, modern and efficient API layer that can support business ambitions. You will lead a team of skilled specialists who work to design, develop and operate the APIs that expose functionality from our on-premise and cloud-based systems.

What you will do | Be the driving force behind Norlys' digital engine room

Management and development: Take responsibility for the team's personnel, including professional sparring, coaching and skills development to ensure a motivated and high-performing team.

API strategy and architecture: Drive the technical vision and long-term roadmap for the API landscape. You ensure that the architecture is scalable, secure and future-proof.

Delivery and quality: Ensure the design, development and maintenance of robust and well-documented APIs. You are responsible for the team delivering on time and in the agreed quality.

Hybrid platform management: Be responsible for APIs across a complex hybrid environment, ranging from on-premise servers to cloud setups in AWS.

Standardization and best practice: Promote the use of standards and best practices within API development, where we are inspired by recognized frameworks such as TM-Forum.

We imagine that you

Have extensive experience as a leader for a technical team, where you have been successful in building and developing professional profiles. That you have in-depth technical knowledge within backend development, API design (REST, gRPC etc.), integration patterns and microservices architecture, and have practical experience operating systems in a hybrid environment and understand the challenges and opportunities inherent in connecting on-premise systems with cloud services (specifically AWS).

Thrive in an agile everyday life (we work in an adapted model inspired by SAFe) and are used to driving development in close collaboration with many stakeholders.

Knowledge of TM-Forum's API standards (Open APIs) is a significant advantage, as it is a central source of inspiration for our design.
