RWE Renewables Denmark A/STo start as soon as possible, full time, permanentRWE is building Denmark's largest offshore wind farm. Thor offshore wind farm will be built 22 kilometres off the coast of Thorsminde on the west coast of Jutland with a capacity of more than 1 GW. 72 units of Siemens Gamesa's flagship SG DD offshore wind turbines are planned to be installed. Once fully operational in 2027, Thor will produce green electricity to more than 1 million Danish households. Thor is a joint offshore wind project of RWE (51%) and Norges Bank Investment Management (49%). RWE is in charge of construction and operations throughout the lifecycle of the Thor offshore wind farm.The General Manager is responsible for managing the O&M of the Wind Farm and all related assets to assure safety and maximum production in relations to pre-defined targets by the Owners.About the role: Manage the Thor wind farm business in its entirety including safety, commercial, O&M as well as people aspects, full accountability for the asset performance of Thor, including P&L responsibilityDeliver safely and efficiently all operational and maintenance activities compliant with applicable rules and regulations, ensure management of and compliance to the wind farm contracts and agreementsImplement a safety leadership ambition to develop a generative safety cultureContinuous improvement of asset performance, responsibility for asset integrity and longevityHands on Leadership to motivate the Wind Farm team, supporting teams and third party's to achieve performance targets and goalsContribute to the mid-term planning and other internal, centrally run projects & process, closely collaborate with peers to identify and pass on best practicesEnsure key internal and external stakeholders alignment by the wind farm team, like JV-shareholders or local authorities or stakeholdersJob requirements and experience: Minimum 8-10 years of experience managing Operations on Offshore Wind Farms, as a General Manager. exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, manage, and delegate tasks effectively across multiple geographies and diverse nationalities, partially from a remote location.Extensive proven experience collaborating with OEMs during warranty periods to ensure seamless operations, demonstrated expertise in End of Warranty (EOW) processes and negotiations.Proven track record in the startup and establishment of O&M activities for new Offshore Wind Farms.In-depth technical knowledge of Wind Turbine Generators (WTG) and subsea maintenance protocols, knowledge of marine life enhancement strategies and experience collaborating with marine biology universities, advanced proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and other operations software platforms relevant to wind farm maintenance.Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a proven track record in building high-performance teams and managing conflicts effectively, demonstrated success in collaborating with both management and technical teams to achieve operational goals, excellent problem-solving capabilities and a history of agile, decisive operational decision-making.Results-driven, with the ability to set clear targets and consistently meet deadlines.Solid offshore work background, with prior experience as a technician and the ongoing physical ability to travel offshore and provide hands-on assistance as needed.Readiness to travel and presence of > 50% in Thorsminde requiredYour benefitsAttractive remuneration, including a company performance-based bonus.Possibility of hybrid working from e.g. Copenhagen, however presence of > 50% in Thorsminde requiredPlenty of career opportunities within RWE Denmark or worldwideRoom to follow training courses in or outside your working areaFritvalgskonto and contribution towards person planFrom here, you benefit from many further advantages – Curious?
