- Ambitious and execution-focused, always striving to improve systems and processes.
- A strong communicator, opinionated, who can collaborate across engineering, product, and business teams.
- A natural leader, mentoring and guiding team members to success.
- A problem-solver, able to balance technical excellence with business priorities.
- Hands-on, willing to take action, and join the coding/building.
- Embrace uncertainty and navigate complex environments well.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 6+ years of experience in Agile Data Engineering or Software Development with a strong data focus.
- Experience building cloud-based data infrastructure from the ground up (AWS preferred).
- Experience leading a team or mentoring engineers in a data-related role.
- Strong skills in ETL/ELT processes, data transformation, and pipeline development.
- Strong Expertise in SQL and one or more programming languages such as Python, Java or Scala.
- Command of Bash and familiarity with data formats like JSON for automating workflows in Unix/Linux environments.
