About the role:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated
Senior
Power Electronics Application Engineer
to lead our efforts in technical support, reference design development, and developing product documentation of our power delivery and thermal management solutions. In this role you will work with a cross-functional team of engineers to design cutting-edge technology, drive innovation, and ensure the successful delivery of high-performance solutions. Strong technical expertise and leadership skills are essential, as you will work with the team through complex technical challenges, develop reference designs, and conduct system-level simulations for our power and thermal management solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical application support and training to key customers and field application engineers.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders - including IC design, application engineering, product engineering, test and validation engineering, and project management teams - to develop reference designs, application notes, and product documentation such as datasheets, application notes and evaluation kit manuals.
  • Oversee system-level behavioural modelling and simulations to validate design choices and performance targets.
  • Collaborate with product test engineers to develop and implement comprehensive testing and validation plans, ensuring PMIC solutions meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Conduct laboratory testing of products and write application engineering test reports.
  • Always be updated with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and technological advancements in power management and thermal management domains.
  • Participate in conferences, regional fairs, and trade shows.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree
    or higher in
    Electrical Engineering
    ,
    Power Electronics
    , or a closely related field.
  • 5+ years of hand-on experience in
    analog circuit design
    and
    power converter technologies
    (DC-DC converters, linear regulators).
  • Hand-on experience with PCB design, and familiarity with PCB assembly processes.
  • Experience with high current point-of-load converters is a plus.
  • Excellent understanding of control systems and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
  • Experience with digital communication interface design such as UART, I2C, I3C, and/or SPI is a plus.
