The externally funded professorship is combined with a consultancy at Zealand University Hospital, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the Zealand Region.It is a requirement for appointment that the applicant is accepted for both the professorship and the consultancy. Please find the advertisement for the consultancy here.Both the professorship and the consultancy will be financed by Zealand University Hospital.Find information about the department.Job DescriptionIn the consideration of applications for the professorship, the main emphasis will be on the applicant's ability to document a high level of original scientific work at an international level within the area of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.The Professor's Responsibilities Will Primarily Consist OfResearch, including publication/academic dissemination within the field of Obstetrics and GynaecologyResearch-based teaching (including associated examination) and data-driving development. Obstetrics and Gynaecology is a central field in medical education, and the professor is expected to take charge of education in the field as part of the medical training program of the University of Copenhagen, e.g. with special focus on development and implementation of data-driven solutions and AI-based technologiesResearch leadership, including guidance and supervision of researchers. The Professor is expected to lead the research effort at the Department, as well as integrate with the Obstetrics and Gynecology program at the University of Copenhagen. In addition, the Professor is expected to be a leader in national and international collaborations and engage in cross-disciplinary developmentObligation to share knowledge with the rest of society, including participation in public debateAcademic assessmentsRequired QualificationsTo be qualified for a clinical professor position, you will be assessed according to these six overall criteria for recognising merit at the University of Copenhagen: Research, teaching, societal impact, organisational contribution, external funding, and leadership.
