Job Description:

We launched Merchant Ads in and are now seeking a Merchant Ads Business Manager to lead our growth effort in driving additional revenue for both Wolt and our restaurant and retail partners.

In this new role at Wolt, you will shape the local Merchant Ads strategy in close collaboration with account management and promotions teams. Your role will be to define the plan, creating the supporting workflows, tools and materials, ensure your tactics are deployed and evaluate the results and adjust accordingly in order to reach maximum effectiveness and product utilisation. The role will require strategic and analytical thinking, an ability to execute and willingness to grind. 

The role will report to local Merchant Promotions Lead and liaise with the Global Ads team. 

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement local strategies to drive revenue growth for our restaurant and retail ads business. Develop and implement sales processes and procedures to improve sales efficiency and productivity. Train account managers and promotion associates in product knowledge and client engagement techniques. Collaborate cross-functionally with product development, marketing, and operations, to ensure sales objectives are met. Maintain insight on product roadmap and utilise product development on an operational basis. Analyse sales and campaign performance, present findings to management and suggest improvement or adjustments as needed Track competitor advertising strategies and adjust own strategies accordingly

Our humble expectations

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.  3+ years of experience in sales management in relevant industries (advertising sales, restaurants, retail) with a proven ability to lead and motivate a high-performing sales team. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present to senior executives and clients. Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on win-win solutions. Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to inform decisions. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Demonstrated track record of successfully driving revenue growth through partnerships or ads. Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on win-win solutions.
