Associate Operations Manager - Strategy & Operations

Wolt Copenhagen Municipality, Capital Region of Denmark, Denmark

Join a forward-leaning and agile team at Wolt as an Associate Operations Manager in region North

As an Associate Operations Manager in the Regional Strategy & Operations team, you will be responsible for driving innovation, implementation, and execution across all aspects of our operations. This particular role will have a major focus on leading our ambitions to make autonomous deliveries a natural part of our operations across the region. It will also include working with other key areas and challenging problems while spearheading the innovation for new ideas; whether it is a new courier partnership model, a new sustainability project, or a new delivery mode altogether. In this, you will be responsible for bringing structure to ambiguous situations and owning the forward progress. You will collaborate across individuals, teams, and functions, bringing your natural knack for ownership, execution, and problem-solving.

Reporting directly to the Regional Head of Strategy & Innovation as part of Regional Operations, your role is crucial in achieving ambitious targets in all countries and all business lines that we operate in.

What You'll Be Doing

This is a multi-faceted and highly varied role, but the major areas of responsibilities include:

  • Own the operational part of autonomous deliveries - including vision & strategy, partnership negotiations, feasibility studies, unit economics, product development coordination, and scale-up of operations.
  • Identify and suggest new business and project opportunities within the scope of Strategy & Innovation, based on industry insights and data-driven hypotheses.
  • Utilize your analytical skills to create data-driven hypotheses of how to solve complex problems involving all sides of the Wolt platform and business environment.
  • Lead and own responsibility areas in focus that you oversee from ideation to implementation and follow-up, with the potential of leading a team in the future.
  • Effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across all functions of the company to ensure progress for your specific responsibility areas including but not limited to product, marketing, legal, policy, local and global business teams.
  • Monitor KPIs and conduct analysis to unpack why performance is what it is and devise strategies to meet or exceed the targets for region North.
Our Humble Expectations
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability for end results.
  • Experience from operational autonomy development and implementation.
  • Proactive 'doer' mentality, with willingness to fail and open to learn from mistakes.
  • Self-driven and able to fill your own and team members' work weeks with tasks, based on agreed purposes and end-states for the direction of the team and the company.
  • Solves problems independently and proactively.
  • Experienced manager, that has led both big and small projects and teams before with successful, measurable results.
  • Passionate about new technology and innovative ways to operate.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Swedish (other Nordic languages is a plus).
  • Proficient in digital collaboration tools like GSuite, Slack, and Zoom.
