Are you passionate about organic chemistry and eager to take processes from the lab to pilot scale? Do you have the skills to collaborate across teams while ensuring high-quality production in a fast-paced environment?
If you find challenges like this exciting and inspiring, you may be our new chemist within chemical modification and process development of new active pharmaceutical peptides and proteins.
The position
Your responsibility as a Chemist for Chemistry Pilot Plant is to transfer the processes from the development laboratory to pilot scale. The processes are within organic chemistry, solid phase chemistry and chemical modification of peptides. The transfer of the processes includes planning of the production, the acquisition of raw materials and preparation of production recipes.
Your tasks will include:
- Acting as a sparring partner with chemists in chemical development to make sure a robust process is developed and responsible to instruct pilot technicians to produce in a safe manner.
- Being responsible for the preparation of all documents needed by authorities.
- Overseeing the production in the pilot facility and ensuring a strong quality mindset is present during production.
- Participating in problem-solving and ongoing optimization of the processes, both as ad-hoc projects and larger improvement projects.
Qualifications
You hold a Master or PhD in organic chemistry or chemical engineering. Experience from upscaling of chemical processes and GMP is an advantage but not a must.
On a personal level, you are well structured, have good planning skills and are prepared to learn how a pilot plant is operated. We expect you to have excellent collaboration skills since the job involves collaboration across different areas with people from different backgrounds.
