IT Operations Specialist

ComplyCloud is a Legal Tech SaaS startup with a great international mix of legal staff, developers, sales and marketing.

We are looking for an IT Operations Specialist with strong collaboration and communication skills who can help design, deliver and maintain a great IT setup in a startup setting. The role involves maintaining ComplyCloud's internal services, handling onboarding, doing technical support, and generally being “the person who can always fix things”.

We are mainly using Microsoft 365 solutions and Windows machines, but we also support Mac (and one Linux) workstations through Microsoft Intune. You'll have the freedom to make decisions and contribute directly to improving and modernizing our infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  1. Work with the business to design and deploy Microsoft 365 solutions such as Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Defender family, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Planner, Microsoft Power Automate among others to improve ways of working in the organization.
  2. Provide technical user support for incidents and resolve system/application issues.
  3. Offer technical support to staff in the organization.
  4. Explore ways to better utilize Microsoft’s offering within the organization.
  5. Ownership of technical onboarding and offboarding processes for users.
  6. Ownership of license management and license optimization for business systems and services.
  7. Maintaining knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within an IT environment.
  8. Opportunity to collaborate with our Lead DevOps Developer and grow your skills in Linux server management, AWS, Docker, Infrastructure as Code, Observability, etc.

Your knowledge/experience:

  1. Up to date knowledge of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including the ability to configure it to manage processes, manage secure operating system baselines, and support operational compliance needs.
  2. Knowledge of Microsoft Security using Active Directory, Azure Administration, and Microsoft 365 online groups.
  3. Demonstrable experience in successfully implementing and supporting Microsoft 365 products.
  4. Experience with and enthusiasm for providing technical support, coaching, mentoring, and on-the-job training of colleagues.
  5. Able to present complex technical information clearly to a non-technical audience.
  6. Able to work in a team, effectively in a culturally diverse environment.
  7. Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
  8. Excellent oral and written communication skills (in English).
  9. Able to quickly learn, work with, and support new technologies and services.
  10. Knowledge of IT Service Management.
  11. Knowledge of networking topology and protocols such as DNS and DHCP.
  12. Knowledge of email services and related security controls such as SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.

Technical requirements:

  1. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration, including MS Exchange Online, MS SharePoint Online, MS Intune, MS Office, MS Teams, MS OneDrive, and MS Defender family.
  2. Deployment of Operating Systems with Microsoft Intune (Windows and MacOS), preferably with security hardening applied.
  3. Capable of advanced debugging on Windows operating systems.
  4. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MacOS (or willingness to acquire it).
  5. Knowledge of scripting (bash/powershell).
