The Position

As the Nordic Patient Advocacy Manager, you will shape and drive patient advocacy strategies across the Nordic region. In this role, you will develop and execute disease-specific engagement plans, foster strategic partnerships, and lead impactful projects that align with Daiichi Sankyo's global and Nordic priorities. You will work closely with patient organizations in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, and Iceland to support oncology advocacy initiatives and create meaningful collaborations. You will likewise have strong ties to our growing European Network of Patient Advocates.

This position requires a forward-thinking individual with a deep understanding of patient advocacy, a strong network in oncology, and the ability to translate complex medical information into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences.

The Nordic Patient Advocacy Manager is a new role in Daiichi Sankyo Nordics, and we expect it to play a critical role in driving Daiichi Sankyo's vision of supporting oncology patients by fostering meaningful collaborations with patient advocacy groups. This is an opportunity to create real impact while working at the intersection of strategy, communication, and patient engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement disease-specific patient advocacy strategies and engagement plans, ensuring alignment with Nordic and global advocacy objectives.
  • Lead key Nordic projects and initiatives in collaboration with local colleagues and patient advocacy organizations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with oncology advocacy groups and other stakeholders to drive impactful advocacy initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration, expand partnerships, and cultivate relationships with patient organizations that align with Daiichi Sankyo's vision and strategic priorities.
  • Translate stakeholder needs into actionable initiatives to support oncology patients, ensuring compliance with Nordic regulations.
  • Effectively communicate complex medical and scientific information to diverse patient audiences in an understandable way.
  • 20-30 travel days a year.

Qualifications

  • 3-4 years proven experience in patient advocacy, preferably within the Nordic region.
  • Strong knowledge of multi-stakeholder environments related to patient access and health policies.
  • Leadership and collaboration skills with a demonstrated ability to build trust and foster partnerships.
  • High intercultural sensitivity and adaptability when engaging with diverse stakeholders across the Nordics.
  • Ability to gather and translate stakeholder needs into meaningful, actionable initiatives.
  • Skilled at simplifying complex medical and scientific concepts for non-expert audiences.
  • Understanding of Nordic compliance requirements for patient engagement.
  • Fluency in English and at least one Scandinavian language, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The role reports to the Nordics Medical Director.
