THE POSITION

Key Account Manager, Denmark

We are seeking an ambitious and driven Key Account Manager to further develop and nurture long-term relationships with our key clients, serving as their primary point of contact within Global Blue. As Key Account Manager you will be responsible for growing revenue through the understanding of clients' business objectives, challenges, and needs, and align Global Blue's solutions accordingly.

You are expected to conduct regular business reviews with clients to ensure their satisfaction, identify areas for improvement, and drive account growth through redefining the method of sales and creating a dynamic interaction with customers to maximize opportunities and deliver results. A part of the role is also to identify and target Key prospects.

The Key Account Manager identifies and pursues opportunities to expand the services and solutions provided to key accounts and collaborates with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Product, Operations) to develop strategies and initiatives aimed at maximizing revenue and market share. You are expected to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to effectively position Global Blue's offerings.

Revenue growth is primarily driven by upselling and cross-selling Global Blue's products and services to existing clients. You develop account specific business plans and strategies to achieve sales targets and increase client spend, and monitor and analyze account performance, identifying opportunities to optimize revenue and profitability.

The Key Account Manager serves as the escalation point for key clients, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of any issues or concerns. Global Blue is an international company, which also entails collaboration with internal teams to coordinate resources and support required to meet clients' expectations. You must provide exceptional and personal customer service acting as an advocate for the client within Global Blue.

The role includes market intelligence, new business and reporting, therefore you must be able to gather and analyze market intelligence, including client feedback, competitor activities, and industry trends as well as preparing regular reports and presentations on account performance, revenue forecasts, and market insights for internal stakeholders.

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate has extensive experience as a Key Account Manager in a similar client-facing role, preferably within retail, the travel, or financial services industry. You are a true high performer, result driven by nature, and has strong understanding of B2B sales and account management. You have experience within solution selling and strong analytical skills combined with great presentation and communicative skills.

As a person you are charismatic, dynamic and outgoing, thriving in an everchanging environment with a constant stream of communication both internally and externally. You are energetic, flexible, hands-on and hard-working.

  • Proven experience as a Key Account Manager or in a similar client-facing role, preferably within the travel, retail, or financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of global B2B sales cycles and account management principles
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, generate insights, and drive data-informed decision-making
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders at different levels
  • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office suite
