Role overview
We are seeking a relationship driven Business Development Manager to lead our efforts in the Nordic region (Denmark, Sweden, Finland). This role is critical in driving business growth, establishing strong client relationships, and expanding our market presence in the Nordic life sciences sector and will see you;

  • Collaborate with Senior Management, BU Heads and Marketing to develop and execute a strategic and ambitious business development plan for the Nordic region with key focus on Sweden and Denmark.
  • Achieve Sales targets and profit margins by identifying and pursuing attractive new business development opportunities for all of VCLS Services in the Nordic Region,-primarily Sweden (Stockholm/Uppsala, Gothenburg and Lund) as well as Denmark (Greater Copenhagen Area)
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with key stakeholders (clients, partners, VCLS experts, industry leaders etc)
  • Leverage local and global VCLS assets (including VCLS experts in the Nordics, Europe, and USA, Neighborhood start-up incubation, Marketing, etc) to further embed VCLS in the Nordic Life Science ecosystem and secure a unique positioning.
  • Collaborate cross functionally within VCLS group to develop, communicate and deliver bespoke, client centric solutions
  • Build Proposals and Manage commercial agreements and commercial relationships.
  • Be the face of VCLS at industry events, conference and networking opportunities.
  • Manage, track and report commercial performance.
  • Offer client market insight and client feedback to ensure senior management understands and proactively responds to client needs and market trends.

Requirements

  • Degree educated
  • 3+ Business Development experience (CRO and/or Life Science Consulting)
  • Passionate about Life Science and enthused by the advancing pace of change
  • An action-oriented leader who inspires others
  • You have an entrepreneurial spirit, a global mindset, and a corporate sensitivity.
  • Curious and empathetic and a consulting expert, this allows you to understand clients and prospective clients and to creatively build bespoke service solutions to their unique commercial challenges.
  • An excellent communicator with a mental agility that allows you to build relationships across all levels of seniority and expertise.
  • You have an entrepreneurial energy that means you enjoy the dynamic day to day of consulting, the shared challenge of growing a business with like-minded colleagues who share your passion for innovation in Life Science.
  • You are optimally based in Sweden or Greater Copenhagen Area. Travelling and physical client interaction is a part of the job. Working out of VCLS office in Copenhagen in a Hybrid fashion is a possibility.
