We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified researcher to join our team as an Urban Frontiers Research Fellow at Københavns Universitet (KU).

About the Position

This full-time position is available from January 2025, with a salary range of approximately $55,000-$70,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be part of a research project investigating land access, coding, and control in urban peripheries. The project involves extended case studies of concrete social struggles in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research methods to investigate land use dynamics in urban peripheries.
  • Analyze data and contribute to the development of a theoretical framework for understanding land access and control.
  • Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must have a PhD degree in anthropology, development studies, economics, geography, political science, sociology, or a related field. Relevant work experience with qualitative research methods is also required.
