Lead Mobile App Developer for Outdoor Community Space

Location: This role offers flexibility, allowing you to work remotely or from one of our shared co-working spaces in Europe.

The Role:

We're looking for an exceptional Developer who will play a key part in shaping the future of our mobile app, leveraging skills and expertise to drive growth and influence the direction of our community. As a member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to deliver end-to-end solutions and take ownership of challenges with enthusiasm.

  • Frontend and Backend Development: Collaborate with our team to develop both frontend and backend components using Flutter for the frontend and Firebase for the backend. Implement features, design user interfaces, and integrate with external APIs to provide a seamless user experience.
  • Technical Collaboration: Work closely with other developers and stakeholders to translate product requirements into technical solutions. Participate in discussions on architecture, design, and implementation details to ensure project success.
  • Code Quality and Testing: Write clean, maintainable code following best practices and coding guidelines. Conduct unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests to guarantee reliability, performance, and security.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest technologies, tools, and best practices in app development. Take initiative in learning new skills, experimenting with new technologies, and sharing knowledge with the team.
  • Remote Collaboration: Embrace a remote-first work culture, effectively communicating and collaborating with team members across different time zones. Utilize collaboration tools such as Slack, Discord, and GitLab to facilitate communication and project coordination.

We are seeking someone with:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • +2 years of experience in mobile app development, with proficiency in Flutter for frontend development.
  • Proficiency in Flutter or similar technologies, as well as backend technologies like Node.js.
  • A strong understanding of software development principles, including object-oriented programming, design patterns, and version control.
  • Experience with Firebase is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills in a remote environment.
  • Passion for learning, adapting to new challenges, and contributing to the success of a growing startup.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment with a proactive mindset.
