About the Project

Danmarks Tekniske Universitet (DTU) is proud to announce an exciting PhD position in solid-state battery development. This project aims to create innovative solutions for next-generation energy storage systems.

As a member of our research team, you will focus on developing novel materials for advanced energy storage applications. Your work will contribute to the creation of more efficient, reliable, and sustainable energy storage systems.

Main Objectives:

  • Design and Synthesize Novel Materials: Develop and optimize methods for synthesizing inorganic materials using solid-state synthesis techniques.
  • Characterize and Evaluate Materials: Perform structural, thermal, and morphological characterization of synthesized materials using powder diffraction, thermal analysis (TG, DSC), electron microscopy (SEM and TEM), etc.
  • Conduct Electrochemical Tests: Carry out electrochemical characterization of materials, including Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy analysis of ionic conductivity and charge/discharge of full solid-state battery cells.
  • Publish Research Results: Disseminate research findings through publications and presentations at international conferences.

Collaboration with the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) is a key aspect of this project, with a research stay at NTNU expected as part of the position.

We seek a highly motivated candidate with experience in inorganic materials synthesis, structural analysis, and electrochemical characterization.
