We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced postdoctoral researcher to join our team at the Department of Immunology and Microbiology, Københavns Universitet (KU).
The successful candidate will be involved in understanding allergic immunity at a fundamental level. Our research group focuses on exploring the fundamentals of allergic inflammation, and we aim to uncover the triggers for allergic inflammation, as well as the role of environmental and genetic factors in mediating allergy.
To achieve this goal, we employ mouse models of allergy and infection, combined with the analysis of human tissues. The team is diverse and collaborative, working closely with national and international researchers.
We require a critical thinker who can drive experiments and projects forward independently while also being adept at working in team environments. Experience in mouse handling, fluorescence microscopy, multiparameter flow cytometry, tissue histology, and general wet lab techniques used in the field of immunology is highly recommended.
The ideal candidate should have a PhD in Immunology and possess excellent communication skills, including proficiency in English both written and spoken. A strong background in lung and skin organ biology, as well as an understanding of inflammation and the role of adaptive and immune cells, would be desirable.
The position offers a dynamic and international research environment with modern laboratories and access to core microscopy and flow cytometry facilities. We are situated near other research centers, providing a vibrant and multidisciplinary work environment.
