Quantum Optics Researcher

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantum Optics Researcher to join our team at the Niels Bohr Institute. The successful candidate will work on advancing quantum optics and crystal growth in cutting-edge research projects.
About the ProjectThis PhD project aims to push the boundaries of quantum circuit development by leveraging the latest advancements in quantum optics and atomic manipulation. The researcher will design UHV apparatuses and control systems for sophisticated crystal growth, incorporating quantum optics and atomic physics techniques.
The position offers collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, including the Tools Development Team, Platform Integration Teams, Characterization Team, and international research partners. The researcher will contribute to innovating novel fabrication techniques for quantum circuits and pioneer a new field in physics.
Responsibilities- Design and implement UHV apparatus and control systems for crystal growth and quantum circuit fabrication.
- Conduct research in a vibrant, international environment focused on pushing the boundaries of quantum circuit development.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to innovate MBE processes.
- Master's degree in Physics, Nano-Science, or Electrical Engineering, specializing in Atomic Physics, Laser Physics, Optics, Quantum Optics, Materials Science, or Crystal Growth.
- Strong experimental and computational skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic research environment.
