Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic Research Assistant & Administrative Coordinator to support the Head of Section of Microbiology and Principal Investigator (PI) of major collaborative research projects, including the EMBARQ project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Coordination: Oversee the EMBARQ project, coordinating meetings, reports, budgets, and timelines while ensuring smooth communication with partners.
  • Administrative Support: Manage the Head of Section's schedule, meetings, travel, and daily administrative tasks associated with research and teaching activities.
  • Event & Communication Support: Organize meetings, workshops, and events, and assist in preparing reports, presentations, and research dissemination.
  • Collaboration: Serve as the central point of contact for the Head of Section, department staff, students, and external partners.

About the Role:

This full-time position starts on 1 February 2025, with a 5-year fixed term contract with potential for extension. The employment will be in accordance with the provisions of the collective agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and AC.

Benefits:

  • Salary: We offer a competitive salary based on the number of years of work experience (seniority), starting from approximately DKK 53,000 per month, with the possibility to negotiate a salary supplement based on prior experience and qualifications.
  • Pension: The employer will pay an additional 17.1% to your pension fund.

Requirements:

  • Experience with managing large research projects, preferably in bioscience.
  • Excellent organizational skills, able to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Danish and English.
  • Proficiency in budgeting and resource management.
  • A strong team player.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
