Postdoctoral Researcher in Multi-Omics Foundation Models

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research (CBMR) at the University of Copenhagen. The successful candidate will work on developing patient-level multi-modal foundation models for studying cardiometabolic disease.
Research FocusThe Rasmussen Lab focuses on developing and applying computational algorithms, including machine and deep learning, for analysis and integration of multi-omics and multi-modal data within cardiometabolic disease. We aim to transform the basic understanding of cardiometabolic health and accelerate its translation into prevention and treatment strategies.
Job Responsibilities- Develop and train state-of-the-art deep learning-based foundation models using data from large international biobanks.
- Interpret results and disseminate findings through presentations and manuscripts.
- Collaborate with national and international partners on interdisciplinary projects.
- PhD in Biology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Excellent scientific track record and profound knowledge of machine learning and/or deep learning.
- Experience in programming and analysis of bulk or single-cell omics datasets.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral.
The Postdoctoral Fellowships within the CBMR International PhD & Postdoc Program are open for applicants who hold a PhD degree awarded from a university outside of Denmark or have a Danish PhD degree with at least 12 months of full-time research experience from outside Denmark.
Terms of EmploymentThe employment as Postdoctoral Researcher is a full-time position for 3 years. Starting date is February 1, 2025, or after agreement.
