Postdoctoral Researcher in Multi-Omics Foundation Models

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research (CBMR) at the University of Copenhagen. The successful candidate will work on developing patient-level multi-modal foundation models for studying cardiometabolic disease using large international biobanks.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and train state-of-the-art deep learning-based foundation models using data from UKB, All of Us, and Project 10K
- Collaborate with our team to integrate multi-omics and multi-modal data for cardiometabolic disease research
- Interpret results and disseminate findings through presentations and manuscripts
- PhD in Biology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
- Excellent scientific track record and knowledge of machine learning and/or deep learning
- Experience in programming and analysis of bulk or single-cell omics datasets
- Excellent English communication skills
The Postdoctoral Researcher will be part of a dynamic and interdisciplinary research environment at the University of Copenhagen. The position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research in cardiometabolic disease and to develop skills in deep learning and biobank data analysis.
The employment as Postdoctoral Researcher is a full-time position for 3 years. Starting date is February 1, 2025, or after agreement. Salary, pension, and terms of employment will be in accordance with the agreement between the Danish Ministry of Taxation and AC (Danish Confederation of Professional Associations).
