About the Position

At the Danish Refugee Council, we are seeking a highly skilled Finance Specialist to join our INET Finance team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing operational finance support to our implementing units.

Your Responsibilities

">
  • You will lead and coordinate budget revisions and preparation of financial reports in close collaboration with HQ project teams and finance counterparts in country operations and regional offices.
  • Control booked transactions locally and across DRC country operations on the grant portfolio designated to the position.
  • Support the budgeting processes for the designated organisational areas (grants/projects budgets and annual budgets).
  • Provide analysis of financial information related to the designated organisational areas.
  • In close cooperation with Operational Managers, reinforce existing procedures and systems for financial management and control in compliance with guidelines of DRC's Operations Handbook, internal guidelines and donor requirements.

Requirements

  1. You have experience in generating management reports and supporting budget development for senior management teams.
  2. You can provide thoughtful analysis of financial data and contribute to financial decision making.
  3. You possess strong communication skills to positively enhance collaboration between our global teams.
  4. You hold at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business administration or finance.
  5. You have full professional proficiency in English.
  6. You have a solid financial management background, preferably from an international humanitarian or development organisation.
  7. You are familiar with statutory and regulatory reporting requirements.
  8. You have experience with using ERP systems and ability to understand their architecture.
  9. Professional proficiency in Danish is desirable for one of the two positions.

The estimated salary for this position is DKK 650,000 - 750,000 per year, depending on your qualifications and experience. This is a national position for which local terms and conditions apply.
