Job Description

This tenure track position seeks to promote early development of independent research success in the field of marine food webs. The candidate will work in a dynamic and internationally engaged scientific environment at the Section for Applied Marine Ecology and Modelling.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in marine food webs, including data analysis and statistical modelling.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and international partners on research projects and advisory tasks.
  • Engage with stakeholders and communicate research findings effectively.
Requirements
  • PhD in marine biology, marine ecology, environmental sciences, engineering, or similar.
  • Broad knowledge of marine physical, biogeochemical, and biological processes.
  • Experience with advanced statistical modelling and data analysis.
  • Good analytical skills and ability to work in an interdisciplinary team.

Salary and Benefits

The salary will be based on seniority, as agreed between the Danish Ministry of Taxation and the Confederation of Professional Associations. Aarhus University offers a range of benefits, including a relocation service, career counselling, and a variety of social services for employees and their families.

The estimated annual salary for this position is around 62,000-80,000 DKK (approximately 8,300-10,800 USD), depending on qualifications and experience.
