The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately 64,800 - 73,900 EUR, depending on experience and qualifications.
Job Description
We are looking for a skilled researcher to work on developing and optimizing breeding plans and breeding goals for organic trout and dairy cattle. As a postdoctoral researcher, you will be responsible for defining breeding goals, estimating economic values, creating tools for estimating economic values, simulating breeding schemes, and project management. You will work closely with a team of organic farmers and researchers specialized in animal breeding planning and population genetics.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Quantitative Genetics or Population Genetics
- Strong programming skills in languages such as R and Python
- Familiarity with breeding programs and breeding goals
- Strong interest in animal welfare and health
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
