Salary

The appointed researcher will be offered a competitive salary, approximately €63,000-€73,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team in the field of population genetics. The successful candidate will contribute to an exciting project focused on gene-culture coevolution in the European Late Upper Palaeolithic. Key responsibilities include:

  • Curation and analysis of genomic data from upper palaeolithic samples
  • Development of methods for inferring population history and relatedness from single genomes
  • Collaboration with archaeologists to develop joint quantitative analyses of material culture and population history
  • Participation in project meetings, workshops, and international conferences
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should hold a PhD degree in evolutionary genetics, population genetics, or a related field. Strong programming skills, particularly in Python and R, are essential. Experience with bioinformatics tools and software is desirable.
