The Center for Quantitative Genetics and Genomics at Aarhus University is seeking a highly skilled researcher to fill a tenure track position as Assistant Professor in Plant Quantitative Genetics. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative research programs and collaborations within plant science, quantitative genetics, and computational biology.
Job DescriptionWe are looking for a talented researcher with a strong background in plant breeding, quantitative genetics, or related fields. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years of postdoctoral experience and a solid publication record in top-tier scientific journals. Experience in international research collaboration, network building, and attracting external funding is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct innovative research in plant quantitative genetics and genomics
- Develop and lead research projects with international collaborations
- Attract and manage external research funding
- Tutor and supervise students at various academic levels (BSc, MSc, PhD)
To be considered for this role, applicants must hold a PhD in a relevant field and have a strong track record of scientific achievement. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, combined with the ability to work effectively in a team environment, are essential.
