Higher Education Expert for First-Year Curricula

Aarhus University, one of the world's top universities, is seeking a highly qualified expert in higher education to join our team at the Centre for Educational Development (CED).
About the PositionWe are looking for a talented and motivated individual to contribute to our research in first-year curricula. As an assistant professor, you will be part of our dynamic team and work closely with colleagues from various departments.
As a key member of our research group, your primary responsibilities will include conducting applied research, publishing international papers, supporting younger researchers, fundraising for research activities, teaching selected topics, and participating in development projects.
The successful candidate will have a PhD degree in a relevant field, two to three years of postdoc experience, a developed research profile in higher education first-year curricula, teaching experience, and project team leadership skills.
You will thrive in a complex environment with multiple agendas and stakeholders, keep a cool head when faced with challenges, and be willing to learn Danish (if not already proficient in a Scandinavian language).

CED employs almost 60 colleagues organized into three departments specialized in digital development, teaching development, and program development. Our research group works within and across these departments, focusing on applied higher education research of high quality.
Working ConditionsThe assistant professorship is a full-time position limited to a 3-year period starting from the date of employment. The expected start date is 1 December 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter.
As a member of our team, you will enjoy a competitive salary, ranging from €70,000 to €90,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition, you will receive comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, pension scheme, and access to our university's amenities.
