Quantum Computing Engineer - Superconducting Processors

The Novo Nordisk Foundation Quantum Computing Programme at the University of Copenhagen is focused on creating a cutting-edge quantum computing programme that addresses the challenges of scalable quantum processor technologies, quantum-classical control and readout interfaces, and quantum algorithms. We aim to develop fault-tolerant quantum computing hardware and quantum algorithms that solve life-science-relevant chemical and biological problems.

We are looking for a quantum computing engineer to support our efforts in developing and characterizing superconducting quantum processors. In this role, you will participate in the development, characterization, and calibration of our quantum processors, measuring qubits, developing and executing characterization protocols, and extracting qubit performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement efficient measurement protocols for qubit characterization.
  • Characterize and analyze superconducting quantum processors to extract performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with the characterization team to optimize measurement strategies and improve characterization speed and throughput.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in physics, engineering, or related fields.
  • Experience with qubit measurements and analysis.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or C++.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
