Quantum Computing Engineer

The Novo Nordisk Foundation Quantum Computing Programme is a pioneering initiative at the University of Copenhagen, aiming to establish a world-class quantum computing programme. Our team consists of talented and diverse international researchers working together to create cutting-edge solutions for scalable quantum processor technologies, quantum-classical control and readout interfaces, and quantum algorithms.
We are seeking a junior qubit characterization specialist to support our efforts in developing and characterizing superconducting quantum processors. In this role, you will participate in the development, characterization, and calibration of our quantum processors, measuring qubits, developing and executing characterization protocols, and extracting qubit performance metrics.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough qubit characterization and analysis on superconducting quantum processors.
- Develop and implement reproducible, automated, and data-driven qubit characterization protocols.
- Optimize measurements and setups for increasing characterization speed and throughput.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in physics, engineering, or related fields.
- Experience with qubit measurements and analysis.
- Proficiency in automation and data logging, preferably in Python.
- Excellent communication skills and a structured approach to work.
