Superconducting Quantum Processor Development Expert

The Novo Nordisk Foundation Quantum Computing Programme at the University of Copenhagen is dedicated to establishing a world-class quantum computing programme that addresses the challenges of scalable quantum processor technologies, quantum-classical control and readout interfaces, and quantum algorithms. Our team consists of talented and diverse international researchers working together to create innovative solutions for quantum computing.

We are seeking a superconducting quantum processor development expert to support our efforts in developing and characterizing superconducting quantum processors. In this role, you will participate in the development, characterization, and calibration of our quantum processors, measuring qubits, developing and executing characterization protocols, and extracting qubit performance metrics.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-quality superconducting quantum processors.
  • Characterize and analyze superconducting quantum processors to extract performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with the characterization team to optimize measurement strategies and improve characterization speed and throughput.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in physics, engineering, or related fields.
  • Experience with qubit measurements and analysis.
  • Expertise in superconducting materials and device fabrication.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
