We are seeking a skilled Payroll Management Specialist to join our team and contribute to our strategic ambitions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain an operationally excellent and compliant Payroll function in collaboration with HR and Finance colleagues.
  • Lead the payroll team in supporting frontline operations.
  • Take ownership of end-to-end Payroll processes, including approval flow, to deliver stable, efficient, and timely Payroll operations to employees for all entities.
  • Systematize, optimize, and automate manual processes to improve productivity.
  • Build and maintain strong collaboration between HR, Payroll, and Finance teams.
  • Handle employee queries related to leave and absence.
  • Apply for and ensure company refunds at Virk.dk and occupational injuries registration.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, including vacation, parental leave, and GDPR.
  • Stay up-to-date with local employment law landscape to ensure local compliance.
  • Handle social security coverage for employees abroad.
  • Register and upload absence in our Payroll system.
  • Respond to employee inquiries in the joint Payroll inbox.
  • Control salary data before pay slips are produced and across months.
  • Partner with leaders, HR colleagues, Union reps, and external advisors to resolve employee relations issues.
  • Maintain a record of documentation on sick leave, parental leave, A1 coverage, and other relevant matters.
  • Secure reconciliations and controls.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience working with Danish salary from A to Z for employees on collective bargaining agreements, shift workers, and salaried employees.
  • Experience with collective bargaining agreements, local agreements, Danish Vacation Act, Danish Tax Assessment Act, and Danish Salaried Employees Act.
  • Knowledge of taxation, social security coverage abroad, and per diem.
  • Familiarity with 3-part salary reconciliation and applicable data protection laws.
  • A resilient personality to cope with organizational complexity, change, and an HR set-up.
  • Written and verbal fluency in Danish and English.
