The Department of Neuroscience, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen invites applications for a highly motivated researcher to join our team.

About the Project

The successful candidate will work on a project focused on understanding the mechanisms underlying chronic pain in sensory neurons. You will design and conduct experiments using transgenic mice, perform behavioral assays, and analyze data using advanced statistical methods.

Our research aims to develop new pharmacological targets and improve pain treatment. You will collaborate with researchers within the department and external collaborators to drive the project forward effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing and conducting experiments using transgenic mice and behavioral assays
  • Analyzing data using advanced statistical methods and collaborating with researchers within the department and external collaborators
  • Disseminating results at seminars, international conferences, and for the general public

Requirements

  • PhD in neuroscience or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years postdoctoral research experience
  • Strong knowledge of pain biology and experience with rodent pain models
