About the Group

The Department of Neuroscience is a world-renowned research institution with a strong focus on understanding the neural basis of behavior and disease. Our group, led by Associate Professor Kenneth Lindegaard Madsen, investigates the fundamental aspects of basic pharmacology, molecular pharmacology, and neuropharmacology, with a particular emphasis on pain biology.

We use a range of cutting-edge techniques, including single-cell RNA sequencing, in vivo imaging, and behavioral assays to investigate the complex mechanisms underlying chronic pain.

Research Focus

  • Understanding the molecular mechanisms of pain perception
  • Developing novel therapeutic strategies for pain treatment
  • Investigating the role of protein-lipid interactions in synaptic transmission

Requirements

  • PhD in neuroscience or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years postdoctoral research experience
  • Experience with rodent pain models and single-cell RNA sequencing
