The University of Copenhagen is seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Researcher in Computational Biology to join the Cardiac Genetics Group Department of Biomedical Sciences. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research in computational biology, working closely with the team to advance our understanding of cardiac genetics.

The position is a fixed-term position limited to a period of 2 years. The successful candidate will be expected to work 37 hours per week, with a salary and pension package in accordance with the Agreement between the Ministry of Taxation and AC (Danish Confederation of Professional Associations).

Foreign and Danish applicants may be eligible for tax reductions if they hold a Ph.D. degree and have not been tax liable in Denmark for the last 10 years.

The position is covered by the Job Structure for Academic Staff at Universities 2020.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research in computational biology, working closely with the team to advance our understanding of cardiac genetics.
  • Develop and implement computational models to analyze and interpret large-scale genomic data.
  • Collaborate with researchers and clinicians to integrate computational biology with experimental and clinical research.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB.
  • Experience with computational modeling and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
