About the Job

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Sales Director to lead our Digital Solutions business at Danelec Electronics A/S. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the growth of our SaaS business by identifying new opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and strategically positioning our solutions in the maritime market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Strategy and Execution: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for our onshore ship performance offering, aligning with overall business objectives. Drive the full sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure, ensuring revenue targets are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Market Analysis: Stay at the forefront of market trends, industry developments, and competitive landscape within the maritime SaaS domain. Leverage insights to tailor sales approaches and identify untapped opportunities.
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate strong and enduring relationships with key stakeholders in the maritime industry. Understand client needs, pain points, and goals to position our solutions effectively.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with marketing, technical pre-sales, CX, and our integration/service delivery team to ensure alignment between client needs and solution offerings. Provide valuable input to shape product development and enhancements.
  • Sales Performance Tracking: Implement and utilize metrics-driven approaches to monitor sales performance, pipeline development, and forecast accuracy. Provide regular reporting and insights to senior management.
  • Leadership and Mentoring: Lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing sales team. Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and accountability.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in B2B sales and business development within the maritime industry, preferably within the SaaS or technology sector.
  • Proven track record of leading and motivating a sales team to achieve ambitious targets.
  • Strong coaching approach and mentoring skills.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to identify market trends, assess business opportunities, and formulate effective sales strategies.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a knack for building strong, trust-based relationships with clients and partners.
  • Proactive and results-driven approach to achieving sales targets and business growth.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Additional Scandinavian languages are a plus.
